   The number of days in February depends on whether it is a leap year or not. In a regular (non-leap) year, February has 28 days. However, in a leap year, which occurs every four years, February has 29 days. The extra day in a leap year is added to February to keep the calendar year synchronized with the solar year, which is approximately 365.25 days long.
